Villa Sessame ·

When we arrived at Villa Sesame, I was overwhelmed by the purity and special atmosphere of this space. The house was a ruin and taken down stone by stone. It was rotated 90 degrees and rebuilt with all modern facilities. Upon entering the villa, you can feel the history of the house, which has been wonderfully modernized by Jakob and Lisbeth from Copenhagen. Secluded Scandinavian luxury wrapped in rustic Italian charm. The style of the house has been consistently executed, from the architecture to the furnishings.

It's perfect for larger groups—we were three families with two babies, and we were grateful for the high chair on site. The additional refrigerators are also great for really indulging in the Italian supermarkets.

Anyone seeking total peace and seclusion with breathtaking views over the vineyards, while staying in a Danish minimalist dream house, will find the perfect spot here.

  • Trattoria La Coccinella (50min): In Piedmont, you rarely eat poorly, so the restaurants in the area are all excellent. However, if you want an exceptionally good dining experience, you should definitely go to La Coccinella—the trip is worth it.

  • Alba (50min): Not only during the truffle season is Alba worth a visit. This charming little town has everything your heart desires to indulge in the dolce vita and enjoy la dolce far niente.

  • Eataly (50min): On the way to Villa Sesame, you're sure to pass by an Eataly. The larger ones are definitely worth a visit, featuring the best Italian products and the perfect place to stock up pelati to extend your holiday at home.
